Dr. Bradley Swaim is a clinically driven optometrist whose passion lies at the intersection of visual health, education, and interdisciplinary care. With advanced training in ocular disease and a meticulous approach to patient evaluation, Dr. Swaim strives to deliver exceptional outcomes for every individual he serves.
After earning his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Dr. Swaim completed rigorous clinical rotations at top-tier facilities including The Eye Center at SCO, Greenville VA Clinic, and Piedmont EyeCare in Charlotte. These experiences honed his skills in full-scope medical optometry, from managing glaucoma and retinal conditions to fitting complex contact lenses and treating dry eye disease. Before entering optometry school, Dr. Swaim built a strong foundation in eye care as an Optometric Technician and Assistant, where he gained firsthand experience in patient workups, contact lens fitting, and the use of cutting-edge diagnostic imaging tools. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Health & Chemistry from East Carolina University, where he graduated with a 3.9 GPA and was recognized for his academic mentorship as an organic chemistry tutor.
Today, Dr. Swaim continues to integrate the latest research and technology into his practice while fostering meaningful connections with his patients. He believes that great eye care begins with great communication—and he’s proud to be a trusted provider in the Wendell community.
